Human Trafficking Treatment Center
The Centers for Youth and Families is a national resource center for victims of human trafficking. We serve central and southeast Arkansas.
Human trafficking comprises the fastest growing criminal industry in the world, based on the recruitment, harboring and transportation of people solely for the purpose of sexual exploitation. Every year traffickers generate billions of dollars in profits at the expense of people across the nation.
Sex trafficking, which is the commercial sexual exploitation through buying, selling or trading their sexual services, is happening in the United States. Forms of sex trafficking include prostitution, pornography, stripping and other sexual acts. As a result, these victims experience extreme trauma that has a life-long effect on their social and emotional health and safety.
For over 130 years, The Centers for Youth and Families has remained true to the mission to provide specialized prevention, intervention and treatment services that promote emotional and social wellness for children and families. Through our trauma-informed specialized treatment, The Centers provides programs and services for trafficking victims.
The Human Trafficking Treatment Center has qualified teams of mental health professionals, most of whom are trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to help traumatized children, adolescents, young adults and families find hope.
